- Tom had sex the first time at the age of thirteen and found it to be disappointing (thirteen is an unlucky number, obviously).
- Tom has a lip piercing and dreadlocks - his parents permitted him both.
- He says the relationship between him and his parents is rather loose, as they were allowed to go to parties and what not.
